Students are taught to see the world as native English speakers see it, to understand the ways in which English reflects the ideas, customs, and the behavior of the society. Therefore, teaching a language, in fact, is inseparable from teaching its culture. In this paper, some courses concerning with culture teaching are recommended in the further education program for English teachers.

长期以来 ,我国的外语教学存在着重语法及词汇教学而轻外族文化教学的弊端。因此 ,我们在继续教育培训计划中应该注重文化教学的内容含量。应该结合中小学教学的实际 ,开设一批与文化教学有关的课程。除了提高中小学外语教师的语言能力和教学技能外 ,还要提高他们的跨文化交际能力和增强他们的文化教学意识
