The methods for visual simulation in a train cockpit fall into two catagories, i.e. passive playback of stored frames and active real time animation. The task is usually carried out on high end workstations, such as SGI Onyx, but the cost would affect the market of application significantly. The solution of a 32 bit PC plus a 3D graphic accelerator card provides an economically feasible way for the active real time animation to be applied to the training of locomotive drivers. Taking into consideration the difference of computing power between PCs and workstations, the feature of visual environment of railroad running has been studied and special strategy and algorithm were developed.

论述了如何在Windows95(WindowsNT)环境下,通过VisaulC++调用OpenGL图形库中的函数,开发出能实时处理具有真实感的三维图形的软件系统。将该系统与机构运动学理论相结合,根据常用机构几何参数建立数学模型后,对其进行参数化三维造型,实现常用机构三维实体的自动生成和实时三维动画处理,最后形成具有真实感的实时三维常用机构运动仿真微机系统。
