In addition, a graph method for determining the σ and δ functions from topological structure of a relay circuit is introduced. Then this mathematical model of a sequential relay circuit is processed as a directed graph which is more directly perceived, The new concepts of input and output subgraphs are proposed in this paper, and the basic properties--that the subgraphs are mutully exclusive and complete--are also pointed out. The classification of circuits and the effect of an input on a sequential relay circuit are studied in an attempt to use graph theory for circuit analysis.
