According to the characteristics of magnetic suspension spindle and the theory of rotation accuracy based on pluralism frequency analysis,a measurement system of rotation accuracy of a magnetic suspension spindle was presented which has five degrees of freedom.
Based on the theory of complex number frequency analysis of rotation accuracy, measured and analyzed the rotation accuracy of a jig-borer axis. The measured data proceed A-D conversion, software sampling, Fast Fourier transform (FFT) and error motion polar plot display, roundness calculated etc. All this done with a personal computer APPLE Ⅱ.
This paper sets up a mathematical model of the motion of gyration in the system spindle supporting magnetic bearings, by using mathematics means of complex number frequency analysis. The locus equation has been developed on the motion of gyration error. The precision of gyration has been defined, and it's measuring method has been given.
