The differential-integral equation(4)in the text of the paper was obtained from the dynamic analysis of the piston engine,where α is the rotation angle of the crank- shaft,θ is the square of its angular velocity,ε<<1 is the reciprocal of the(equivalent) total inertia.Then the existence and the uniqueness of the periodic solution for this equation was proved by the contraction mapping principle and perturbation method. The asymptotic expansion of the solution was also given.
