Three series of catalysts (copper-containing catalyst, cerium-containing catalyst, copper-ceri-um-containing catalyst) were prepared by coprecipitation method. Simulating the FCC conditions, the effects of the composition of catalyst, reaction temperature, O2 concentration and hydrothermal treatment on the SOx adsorption capacity were examined. Meanwhile, the regeneration of catalysts deactivated by the SOx adsorption was investigated and the comparison of DeSOx performance between our catalysts and INTERCAT catalyst was carried out. The results show that the SOx adsorption capacity of catalysts takes on a extreme value with the increase of reaction temperature, the hydrothermal treatment makes the adsorption capacity decrease, the optimal O2 concentration for our experimental conditions is between 0.5% ( V) and 0.8% ( V), the DeSOx performances of our catalysts are better than that of the INTERCAT catalyst.

Influence of incorporated alkali cation exchanged zeolites on the catalytic performance of FCC catalysts was studied.
