Identification of digital modulation schemes plays an important role in signal analysis. In this paper, the algorithm based on decision theory for the identification of digital modulation schemes is presented. A new algorithm with some revision is also introduced and implemented with computer simulation. The results are given to show the feasibility and accuracy of the algorithm.

数字调制方式的识别对于通信信号分析有着重要的作用 .此文首先介绍了数字调制方式的识别算法(DMRA) ,即判决理论算法的原理 ;然后提出了一种基于该算法的判决流程 ;最后在软件环境中进行计算机仿真 ,通过实验数据对该算法进行修正 .仿真结果表明 ,该修正算法具有较高的识别率和良好的可行性 .

Automatic modulation mode recognition of communication signals has found wide application areas, and it is very important for a military software radio interception receiver. A hierarchical neural network classifier is designed for identifying nine modulation types based on the research on the characteristic set of digital modulation mode recognition. Its successful recognition rate is over 97 % at the signal-to-noise ratio ( SNR) of not less than 8 dB. Its features are smooth identification without the need for any prior knowledge of the modulation signal, many identification types for digital modulation, high successful recognition rate, automatic classification and identification and real-time identification. The simulation results verify the advantages of this method.

自动调制方式识别应用范围广泛,对于军用软件无线电侦察接收机更具有十分重要的意义。研究了数字调制方式识别的特征集,在此基础上针对BPSK、QPSK、8PSK、16QAM、2FSK、4FSK、8FSK、2ASK、4ASK共9种调制类型识别问题,设计了一种分层结构的神经网络分类器。在SNR≥ 8dB时,该分类器的正确识别率达到97%以上,其特点是,识别无需任何先验知识,识别的数字调制类型多,识别的正确率高,达到了自动分类识别的目的,并有利于实现识别的实时化。仿真结果表明了此方法的优越性。

In order to solve the problem of conversion of multi-class modulation types which exists in software radio system, an algorithm based on support vector machine (SVM) for recognition of digital modulation signals was presented. By analyzing the modulation signals, a set of key features for identifying different types of digital modulation were extracted, and were mapped into the high dimension space. The classification was carried out in the high dimension space based on SVM and decision tree, so the problem of nonlinear non-separable classification in low dimension was resolved and the decision threshold became unnecessary. Better generalization ability was also acquired comparing with traditional neural networks. Experiment on six digital modulation signals corrupted by band-limited Gaussian noise was conducted. The results shows that all types of digital modulation are classified with success rate that is more than 90% when SNR is not less than 10 dB.

为了解决软件无线电系统中多种调制方式之间切换的问题,提出了一种基于支持向量机的多类数字调制方式识别算法.该算法通过提取有效的特征向量以区分不同的调制方式,并基于支持向量机和判决树分类思想,将特征向量映射到高维空间中加以分类,解决了样本在低维空间中的非线性不可分问题,避免了判决门限的确定,与传统的神经网络方法相比,具有更好的泛化推广能力.仿真结果表明,在具有加性带限高斯噪声的环境下,信噪比大于等于10dB时,识别正确率大于90%.
