A biomedical experimental system, developed by the Insti-tute of Space Medico-Engi-neering, was tested on the recoverable satellite in October 1990. This system composed of five subsystems: a cabin with function of temperature control; atmosphere pressure control subsystem; air purification and humidity maintaining subs-ystem; animal service subsystem with functions of waste collec-tion, food and water supply; measurement, control and pow-er management subsystem. Be-sides two white mice, biomedical researches on the genetics of fruit flies and the development of silkworm eggs and wheat seeds were also conducted dur-ing the space flight. The experi-ments were fruitful: the engi-neering systems worked well during flight, the results of test animals and other biomedical studies were exciting. The expe-riences of the present space biomedical experiments are very valuable for the microgravity re-searches in the future.

The water pollution type in Yellow River and the corresponding contaminated areas are analysed in this paper. The regional fish construction and the growth, reproduction, development and feeding of fishes are directly affected, the fish migration is blocked, and thus the ecological balance in Yellow River valley is damaged by the water pollution with explicit water pollution effect in the drainage area. The precautionary measures and governing rules against the water pollution in Yellow River are put forward in view of the above existing problems. The lowlying, waterlogged, salinizated and uncultivated land in the Yellow River drainage area should be mainly developed with the fishery in the focal point of the comprehensive exploitment. In order to reinstate the fish resources and increase the culturing benefit and especially the per unit area yield in Yellow River, it is necessary to use now available reservoires, lakes and rivers for the fish culture and multiplication and especially important to introduce other economical fishes suitable to grow in the local water areas.
