It is derived by introducing the concept of "Basic Waiting Time" into the Ethernet-based scheme, bringing about transmission of acknowledging packet without collision.This results in the reduction of load of the host computer as well as leads to improve transmissin effeciency & reliability. The performance evaluation of acknowledging Ethernet, started in 1977, was evaluated experimentally through simulation and was not yet analysed theoretically ever since. The author attempt to work out this anaysis, bringing out the average throughput, the average number of time of retransmission and the approximate expression of the average transmission delay, and compare these results with those obtained,expcrimentally by simulation to check their accutacy. The paper also decribes the influence on packet transmission when acknowledgirg fur.ction is lead into.

具有应答的以太网(Acknowledging Ethernet)方式是适用于总线式计算机局部网的一种信道访问控制方式.具有应答的以太网,是在以太网的信道访问控制方式的基础上,引入了基本等待时间的概念,从而实现了无碰撞地回送应答分组的功能,一方面减轻主计算机的负荷,另一方面提高了传输效率和可靠性.自从一九七七年提出具有应答的以太网方式以来,通过仿真实验,对其各方面性能进行了评价,然而,从理论上进行性能分析的课题一直没有得到解决.本文导出具有应答的以太网的平均信道利用率、平均重发次数以及平均传输时延的近似式,并与仿真实验的结果进行比较,由此验证近似式的准确度.本文中还论述了应答功能的引入对于以太网的数据分组传输性能所产生的影响.

The implementation of the high speed fiber optical ring local network Illinet is introduced in this paper. The network-interface driver designed to use the networking facilities provided by the BSD 4.2 version of the UNIX operating system is emphasized. The major steps to interconnect Illinet with Ethernet arc also discussed.

In this paper, based on ISO/OSI reference model the Chinese-Ethernet LAN protocol is divided into seven layers, i. e. the physical, MAC, LLC, transport, session, network management and application layer. Then, Using IEEE 802 standard,the protocols from physical to transport layers are analysed in detail. These analyses are useful for development and application of LAN. Finally, the design consideration of the high layer protocols of the Chinese Ethernet LAN is given.)

本文遵循ISO/OSI参考模型,将汉字以太局部网简单地划分为:物理层、MAC层、LLC层、传输层、会话层、网络管理层和应用层。然后,根据IEEE802协议,详细分析了从物理层到传输层的协议。对以太网的通信子网来说,这些分析是十分完整的,为局部网的开发和应用有较大的实际意义。文章最后提出的高层协议的设计考虑,可供网络设计者参考。
