Print through(PT)is one of the major ink/paper interaction effects in newsprint printing.It can be broken into three different components,the show through component(PT st ),the pigment penetration component(PT pp )and the vehicle separation component(PT vs ).The magnitude of each of them for both laboratory sheets and commercial newsprint is determined experimentally.It was found that print through(PT)increased with the amount of ink on paper.That was attributed to the penetration of ink pigment and vehicle oil when the ink and paper interacted with each other.The respective contribution of PT pp and PT vs to PT depends on the pore structure of the sheet.More fines can increase the number of small pores in the sheet so that an increase in PT vs could be caused.

对几种实验室抄造的新闻纸及商业用胶印新闻纸的研究表明,透印值(PT)随纸面油墨量的增加而增加,而且在实际印刷密度范围内,这种增加是由于油墨颜料和介质渗透所致。这两方面各自贡献的多少取决于纸张的孔隙结构。增加纸张中细小组份的含量,有利于增加纸张中细小孔隙的数量和减少孔隙半径,增加介质渗透所致透印(PTVS)。不同纸张之间应在相同印刷密度下比较透印趋势
