Concerning the growth rate of the cross diameter and vertical diameter of a fruit,the growth of vertical diameter grew more quickly than that of cross diameter at the early developmental stage when it was young, but later,the cross diameter grew more quickly than the vertical diameter,and by the mature period the vertical diameter grew more quickly again than the cross diameter.
