In this paper, mutual effects on seed germination and seedling growth of white birch and larch by volatiles from white birch and larch leaves and aqueous extracts from their bark and leaves at three levels of 0.2g/ml, 0.1g/ml and 0.01g/ml were studied and discussed from the point of view of chemical interaction.
The results as following:In aspect of the bioassay of Picea schrenkiana autotoxicity, the results showed that the aqueous extracts from the needles of Picea schrenkiana has autotoxicity on seed germination and seedling growth of Picea schrenkiana under two different temperature conditions (①photoperiod 20℃, 16h, dark cycle 15℃, 8h;②The photoperiod 15℃, 16h, the dark cycle 10℃, 8h).
This paper reports the experimental results of treatments and quality of seeds, the soil, depth and time of sowing and condition of growing seedlings of Simmondsia chinensis. The effective measures for raising the rate of emergence and survival and stimulating the growth of seedling were suggested.
They are kaempferol-3-α-rhmanoside, quercetin-3-α-araboside, luteolin-3', 4'-dimethoxy-7-β-rhamnoside, kaempferol-3-β-dirhamnoside and quercetin-3-β-glucoside. The first three of them can inhibit the growth of seedling, and especially that of root.
Effects of soil drought on seedling growth and water metabolism of three common shrubs in Loess Plateau, Northwest China
The influences on the seedling growth, fruit quality and yield of tomato were investigated.
Results showed that the seedling growth, and the contents of UV absorbing compounds, soluble sugar, organic acid, vitamin C and lycopene of tomato fruits, and yield of tomato increased under doubled CO2 concentration.
BHT retards seedling growth, presumably by suppression of cell elongation, and it increases the life span of the coleoptile.
It was established that total proteolytic activity in etiolated wheat seedlings changes in ontogenesis in cycles: peaks of proteolytic activity correspond to the 3rd, 5th, and 8th days of seedling growth, respectively.
It is concluded that the increased growth of seedling was not caused by nutrients released during amoebal grazing on rhizosphere micro-organisms.
Here we show that rapid auxin-induced growth of seedling hypocotyls is completely abolished by the mutation over the full range of auxin concentrations tested, and also in early phases of the time course.
The activity of α-amylase decreased during germination and growth of seedling, while β-amylase activity increased.
Application of 30 μM (10 ppm) DCPTA during the transfer of orchid seedlings from sterile agar culture to greenhouse community pot culture caused a 2 to 3-fold increase in root and leaf growth of seedling plants over the growth of controls.
Effects of H2SO4, H2O2, C2H5OH and of acetone on germination of cotton seeds and on the growth of seedling root were studied under laboratory conditions.
Effects of solid water and foliar fertilizer on survival and growth of seedlings in sand prevention and control
The results showed that root growth of seedlings was interrupted after 5d of 50-200 μg · g-1 TCB treatment.
rostratum, restricted dispersal of propagules and seeds, low seed viability, low germinability, slow growth of seedlings under all conditions, and habitat loss due to agriculture appear to be more important reasons for the endangerment of this plant.
The results showed that increase in CO2 concentration enhanced the growth of seedlings and the effect of 700 (?mol/mol CO2 was more remarkable than 500 ?mol/mol CO2 on seedling growth.
The water extracts from branches and barks with low and moderate concentrations accelerated the height growth of the seedlings, while those from leaves and roots slightly decreased the height growth of seedlings.
When gold nanoparticles pretreated substrate are exposed into the seeding growth solution, the preadsorbed gold nanoparticles grow further and then form nanoislands of gold on glass and ITO substrates.
prostrata stands was very inhibitory to seed germination and seeding growth of some of the test species including C.Dactylon.
