Having considered the particularity in converted-wave processing we pay much attention to main links such as the generation of CCP trace gather, the azimuth angle rotation of horizontal component etc. ,and better converted-wave profiles have been obtained.
Velocity analysis by nonhyperbolic equation and interactive method, converted point calculation by exact formula, normal moveout correction by nonhyperbolic equation are adopted to enhance processing accuracy.
The second part is about the basic principle ofmulti-wave exploration and the principle is also the fundamental of C-waveprocessing, so started from the basic concept of multi-wave, the part simplyintroduces the orientation and energy character and the theory of C-wave imaging.
The authors hold that the suppression of surface wave, static correction of converted wave, and velocity analysis are the key for converted wave process.
However complex areas in land are yet challenging for converted wave processing methods.

Using the combined layout chart of two components, the data acquisition by compressional wave and converted wave is considered effective and economic. In this paper, a computing method for travel time curve of the converted wave is suggested, based upon which several processing modules for converted wave, such as constant velocity scanning, normal moveout correction, as well as a specific processing sequence were established for processing the field data. The stacked sections of converted wave are proved co...
A new raytracing algorithm which is concise, efficient and distinct from conventional methods is presented here. It is applicable for computing raypath of seismic first arrivals in s cismic tomography. Finite difference scheme with variable grid intervals is used while sotuing cikonal equations. The next is to calculate travel time for each discrete grid point in arbitraryvariablc velocity model based upon the wavcfront spcading theory. With the calculated travel time distribution, we are able to define a r...
TDT (Time-Depth-Time)transformation is an important step in converted waveprocessing. It aims at compressing SV-wave section into P-wave section. The trans-formation is based on the principle that the same seismic horizon has constant depthin SV-wave section and P-wave section (time depth is not involved). This techniqueneeds manual correlation to find out the same seismic horizons for programing. Thetransformed SV section favours interpretation and calculation of V./V. ratio.
