A synergistic effect has been observed in olefin hydroformylation with bimetallic carbonly mixtures of Co_2(CO)_8 and Ru_3(CO)_(12). Based on the present results we suggest that the cycle can be completed by two metal centers when the reaction is carried out in a bimetallic system.
