The results of TG and DSC show that addition of SiC can not obviously improve the pyro-oxidation resistance of the coatings, but the thermo-stability of the crystal face structure of the composite coatings can be improved and the inversion temperature from crystal face(111) to (200) can be raised from 325 °C to 365 °C , when 15 g/L of nano SiC is added.
The influence of rare earth cerium on the surface and the high temperature oxidation-resistance of hotdip aluminized steel has been studied. The results show that the high temperature oxidation resistance of the aluminizedlayer will be enhanced with the increase of content of the rare earth from 0 to 1%, and the oxidation-resistanceperformance will be the best one when the rare earth addition is 1%, being 1.4 times as much as that of singlyaluminized layer.
Two kinds of low cost polysilicones SAR-9 and SAR-2 made inbroad was used as polymer preceramics to prepare for antioxidation Si-C-O ceramics and ceramic composites at high temperature after assessing the properties and materials cost of several sorts of polymer ceramics which have been used most often so far.
