However, when he showed his whole-hearted devotion to the Royalty and ancestry or when he was concerned about the sufferings of the common people in the street, he wrote poems in a style of frankness, simplicity and profoundness. Among his poems of this part, some eulogize the Royalty, others sympathize heartily with the common folks, still others have in mind his dear mother. In short, his poetic style is full of variety. Just as what he says in one of his theories of poetry, " Either swift or sluggish, either loud or soft, either like flying clouds or like flowing rivers, they sound so different with the variation of the poet's feeling and emotion" .
