本文仅就代数多项式的近似求根提出一种几何方法。这是为线性自动调节理论中过渡过程品质的研究而提出的。这一方法对于Lill法的几何形式来说是一种推广,对于林士谔法等的代数形式来说是一种带有推广性的几何表述。在此同时,本文还说明了Кр(?)жановский代数形式就是林氏法的另一个表现方式;Γородский和Traenkle等的某些观点可以推广应用到几何法中来;牛顿法和赵访熊法也都可以有其相应的几何表述。此外,本文提出了试步流迹和流迹场的概念及其某些实际的应用。在本文的最后一部分还列举了n=3~6的若干实例。这一方法形象直观,应用简便,记忆容易;它的工作量较轻,费时较少;同时,它的准确度也能满足一般的工程要求。若把它同代数法结合起来,还可以加速收敛的过程。本方法对于稳定判据或非周期性判据等的几何形式来说,是一脈相承的,是贯通一气的。它是利用这种几何形式来研究线性自动调节系统动态品质的途径之一[28、29]。

Due to these characteristics, it is possible to apply carrier-blocking directional impedance relaying as the main protection for lines with series capacitors, disregarding the location of the capacitors and the degree of compensation. It is also possible to satisfy the conflicting requirements of avoiding undesirable tripping during power swings and assuring reliable operation during short circuit faults.
