It is shown that for seismic reflections with traveltime exceeding 1.5 s, their instantaneous dynamic ranges will be about 60 dB, and the highest frequency of signals cannot exceed 170 Hz.
In this paper, the study of the forward modeling was conducted on the thin-layer and thin-interlay seismic reflections in the domains of time and frequency, and the relation curves were done between the thickness of the sand sphenoid body, interlay sandstone of the same thickness with amplitude, frequency. And the relation was revealed between amplitude, frequency, waveform and the degree of the sand development, and also interlay structure.
The structure and reservoir of Jizhong fault block are very complicated, which makes the seismic reflection there "disorder". But in this disorderly reflected area there exist relatively steady seismic reflections, which mostly represent the relative stability of the local strata or lithology.
Based on a meticulous correlation between the seismic reflection characters and the drilling results in dozens of wells, as well as forward modeling, the author established a relation between reservoir occurrence and the waveform of seismic reflections, which forms a basis for carbonate reservoir prediction by waveform analysis.
These special low-positional geologic bodies have distinct fea- ture: the seismic reflections are characteristics of downlap structure in both direction;
We applied high resolution seismic reflection method to Dalitita mining areaof Shenfu coal field, where a lot of dunes and sand ditches distribute irregularly, andprospected fault distribution with 2 5m Vertical fault throw.
The limitations of observation systems to the resolution of the complicated object used in shallow seismic reflection method in the complicated seism geological condition including multiplecoverage technique, best time window technique, best offset technique and minimum offset technique are studied systematically.
When use the shallow seismic reflection method to prospect urban active faults, since there are a lot of interferential sources in the urban area, especially serious interference from vehicles and building operations, bring prodigious difficult to seismic prospecting and data processing.
Comprehensive and comparative analysis with drilling and logging data shows that seismic reflected information in depositional body of alluvial fan in Baikouquan Formation of lower Triassic truly reflects the changes of sedimentary factes and also truly reflects the changes of oil-gas accumulation degree inreservoir.
The Quan Formation forth segment showed the wave group consisted from 4 phases on seismic reflected sections. It is discovered from correlation with drilling and logging data that each phase has definite geologic significance.
Analysis shows that when Q is smaller than 100, the formation absorption of seismic reflected energy so severe that energy compensation should be reinforced in processing.
By using data on the 1:100 000 aeromagnetic anomalies of the Sulu orogenic belt, we designed three simulated geotraverses, in which deep seismic reflection and other geophysical investigations have been completed.
The results of a single channel seismic reflection survey and of a micropaleontological examination of diatom remains in bottom sediment samples on the shelf and continental slope of the Peter the Great Bay area are presented.
Dispersion of acoustic energy at critical conditions of the fluid may amplify seismic reflections that result from different fluid densities on lithological boundaries.
Distribution of the volcanics, revealed by high-resolution seismic reflections, is neither restricted within nor in agreement with the framework of the overlying sedimentary sequence striking NNE.
Seismic indicators of gas-hydrate-bearing sediments include elevated interval velocities and amplitude reduction of seismic reflections owing to the presence of gas hydrate in the sediment's pore spaces.
They are strike-fed, along slope-elongated and internally characterised by high amplitude seismic reflections usually developing reflection free blankets above erosional terraces due to their small thickness (in average less than 30 m thick).
A high-precision seismic reflection method has been developed for investigating archeological objects which are hidden in a mud-layer of the Haddebyer Noor, a lake in front of the old Viking settlement Haithabu near Schleswig.
On the Lincheng-Julu deep seismic reflection profile in west-central North China basin,a series of low-angle reflection events endowed with good continuity and strong energy are illustrated with two-way traveling time(TWT) from 2.5s to4.5s in the CDP stacking profile, and it stretches to 40k.These reflection eventsare interpreted as a detachment, whose dip decreases from west to east, and develope in the crystalline basement from 5km deep at the western end of the profile to 10km deep in the eastern part. Two s...
In last decade, several international joint projects in Tibetan plateau were conducted by Chinese, American and French geophysicists and geologists. In the present review, the results from vertical reflections, wide-angle reflections and broadband digital seismic recordings are reviewed and compared. Constraints for the dynamics of continent-continent cllision from the lithospheric structures, seismicity, focal mechanism and anisotropy are discussed.
We applied high resolution seismic reflection method to Dalitita mining areaof Shenfu coal field, where a lot of dunes and sand ditches distribute irregularly, andprospected fault distribution with 2 5m Vertical fault throw.Good exprimental observationshave been obtained.
