In CCD cameras, this is a well known problem and several antiblooming techniques have been implemented the anti-blooming gate being the more common.
      
Some CCDs have antiblooming structures built in, but this is not the norm for scientific CCDs.
      


In many applications, the more electrons are generated in the parts of photosites that can be stored in the CCD shift register, they tend to "bloom" or "spill over" to neighboring pixels along the shift register, thus "smearing" the information. In this paper, a CCD with functions of anti-blooming and integration control is introduced, the time orders of driving designed with CPLD are also expounded. In the end, the output waveforms are measured in the same illumination and different integration time....

在许多CCD应用场合中,当局部像元产生转移寄存器难以容纳的电荷时,会弥散到相邻的像元中,破坏图像原有的信息。介绍了一款能够实现反弥散、积分时间可调的CCD芯片,详细叙述了利用CPLD产生CCD各种驱动时序的方法。最后,在光照强度不变的条件下,利用示波器测试了不同积分时间的信号输出。实验证明:设计的电路能够驱动CCD正常工作,实现了其积分控制和抗弥散功能。
