Series compensated EHV transmission lines, in the time range before single-pole reclosing, have subharmonics with higher magnitude, this will directly affect whether the single-pole reclosure can be successful.

A tentative idea of using the variation of interim resistance to achieve the metering of adapting oneself to impedance is put forward,the relevant bases of a differentiation are derived,and its preliminary analysis has been carried out as well.It aims at eliminating the influence of interim resistance on metering of impedance protector by changeable property of arc resistance.
