Schema theory also supports the Top-down view. The feature s of listening teaching by communicative approaches is that: In listening classroom, listening is of course the main activity, otherwise, speaking, reading and writing area also supports integrated together in one. Thus, communicative approaches provide the traditional method with a supplement, since traditional method only focuses on listening with little practicing in speaking, reading and writing which are also important to reinforce what has been learnt in listening. Therefore, communicative approaches can improve the traditional listening teaching methodology and raise the efficiency of classroom listening-teaching.

在传统教学法语法翻译法理论指导下,听力能力成为我国学生,尤其是西北地区学生较薄弱的语言技能之一。而交际法教学的自然习得理论和粗略输入的观点给听力教学提供了新的启示;自下而上和自上而下的观点具体地指导了听力教学的各个环节——从材料的确选择到施教方式以及学生活动的安排与任务的设计等。图式理论也支持自上而下的观点。交际法英语听力教学的特点以听为主导,融听、说、读、写于一体。它补充了传统教法只注重听,而忽视了其他技能培养的不足,从而起到改进传统听力教学教法,提高听力教学效率的作用。

At present,college students' level of English listening is generally not high and the effect of traditional teaching of listening is not ideal.In view of this,we made a reform in the teaching of college English listening class.The experiment proves that the way of promoting the organic combination of listening and speaking by teaching knowledge of pronunciation and intonation more systematically and thoroughly can be used to improve the students' listening and speaking abilities more effectively.

目前大学生的英语听力水平普遍不高 ,传统的听力教学效果不够理想。鉴于此 ,我们对大学英语听力课教学进行了改革。实验证明 ,通过进行系统深入的语音语调知识教育 ,促进听与说有机结合的做法 ,更能有效提高学生的听力和口语能力

Beginning with criticizing the existing teaching pattern of English listening, points out that there are some problems in regard to the teaching of English listening. In order to overcome the problems, a new teaching pattern of English listening-English listening through segmentation is suggested. Its definition, process and theories that it bases on have been explained in deatil. Judging from its effects, English listening through segmentation proves effective.
