本文是关于湖南大学理工科学生英语口语水平的一项实验研究。这次水平测试对象涉及从本科生到博士生五个水平层次。评分采取三维量化,现场与事后两次性交叉进行。结果表明本项测试的信度、效度均较高,反映了我校理工科学生英语口语表达能力之现状,为日后加强口语教学提供了一些事实依据。本文还就口语测试客观化问题进行了讨论。

The subject of spoken English is a very practical lesson, the fostering and training of students' language- expressing ability should be its gist. This article mainly talks about how to foster students'English-expressing abili- ty through introducing a series of Language-spoken training, principles that students should abide by and communi- cation strategy. By this way, the goal of enhancing students' level in grasping spoken English can be achieved.
