The test results showed that atomic oxygen irradiation led to oxidization and degradation of the polyimide in the coatings and hence to decrease the bonding strength and endurance of the coatings. However, the atomic-oxygen irradiation had less effect on the friction coefficient of the coatings sliding against 9Cr18 steel.

原子氧是低地球轨道环境中影响材料性能的主要因素之一,考察原子氧对固体润滑材料摩擦学性能的影响, 对于保证空间机械的可靠性具有重要意义。利用自行研制的微波ECR原子氧束流源和真空摩擦试验系统,研究了原子氧对MoS2/PI粘结固体润滑涂层真空摩擦学性能的影响。结果表明:原子氧辐照使涂层粘结剂PI发生了氧化降解,减弱了涂层的附着力,导致耐磨寿命减小;在试验的辐照时间内摩擦系数未见明显变化。
