The Xihuashan granite is a typical representative of the tungsten-bearing granites widespread in Nanling Region of South China. The concept of invariat imbedding is used to solve melting problems. It converts a complicated moving boundary problem into an initial value problem, For the moving boundary problem,this approach is easy to treat the free convection boundary condition and initial solidification, and decreases largely, memory and calculating time.The results of calculation are compared with those of melting experiments of ice-balls.
