MEDIUM-SHORT-IMPENDING PREDICTIONS AND PRECURSORY ANOMALY CHARACTERISTICS ON MENGLIAN M=7 3 EARTHQUAKE IN BORDER AREA BRTWEENVHINA AND BURMA ON JULY 12 OF 1995
THE FEATURE OF PRECURSORY ANOMALIES OF EARTHQUAKES WITH M_S 6~7 IN GANSU PROVINCE AND ITS NEIGHBOURING REGION AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE IN EARTHQUAKE PREDICTION
CHARACTER OF FIELD AND SOURCE PRECURSOR FOR INFORMATION ENTROPY OF ALL SORTS OF PRECURSORY ANOMALIES OF EARTHQUAKES BEFORE TANGSHAN EARTHQUAKE(Ms 7. 8) IN 1976
An empirical formula for the relation of the precursory anomaly of He and H2 gasses with the magnitude and occurrence time of earthquake has been derived.
In this paper, we propose the principle, methods and calculating formulas for determining the certainty factors of earthquake precursory anomaly evidences CF(E).
In order to quantitatively describe the geoelectric precursor anomaly in the short-impending process of earthquakes, a new geoelectric precursor index - (monthly) relative change rate of ground resistivity, Rρ(t), is designed.
This suggests that main rupture initiation points and locations of high rupture accelerations may be identified before the mainshock occurs, based on precursor anomaly patterns.
In order to further study these anomalies and get reliable precursory anomalies, a special packet of precursory data processing has been developed recently.
Based on the knowledge of quadrant characters of earthquake precursors, we analyze space distributions of different types of precursor anomalies which may be a useful reference for one to predict the location of a strong earthquake occurrence.
