In this paper a numerical method for calculating beam (or shaft) deflections is developed. A new concept of equivalent bending moment has been introduced.Whence comes the term "EQUIVALENT BENDING MOMENT METHOD (EBMM).

本文提出的方法,可说是计算梁(轴)变形的一种数值计算法,然而由于建立了一个概念——等效弯矩,所以其结果却是精确解.因此称之为“等效弯矩法”. 等效弯矩法的基本思想就是将一个弯矩方程表达的梁段,以一个具有常量的等效弯矩的梁段代替之,从而使梁的变形计算既简化又精确.此法亦便于用计算机进行运算. 此法能用于解静定梁、静不定梁、等截面梁、变截面梁、单根的梁与联合梁(轴系)等的变形。此法的优越性主要在于计算负载复杂的阶梯形变截面梁(轴)的变形。此法可推广到刚架的计算上.
