Modern Design System of Aluminum AlloyHub? is to exploit CAD software for aluminum alloy hub of auto and motorcycle. This software includes sculpting design of hub finite element intention computationand optimization.
On basis of forging technology, the preforging andfinish forging die for forming the aluminum alloy hub by using 3-D moldmaking software Unigraphics(UG), the model is transfered to Finite Elementsoftware DEFORM, simulation of the forging process by using DEFORM toobtain the velocity field and the strain field in all forming steps.
This paper summarizes the characteristic and applied survey of several kinds of major forming method of aluminium alloy hub for automobile ,it points out that with the increasing requirement for high quality aluminium alloy hub in automobile industries,traditional forming techniques are being improving and some new metal forming techniques such as squeeze casting and semisolid die forging will be applied in production of aluminium alloy hub for automobile.
