The obvious anomalies of geomagnetic total intensity F and vertical component Z appeared (from May to July, 1996) at Shanghai Sheshan geomagnetic station before the Ms 6.1 earthquake in the South Yellow Sea.
Based on the spherical cap harmonic models of satellite magnetic anomaly (ΔX, ΔY, ΔZ) and IGRF models, the three dimensional model of the total intensity magnetic anomaly (ΔF) was derived. The satellite magnetic anomaly at different altitude (h=0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500km) was calculated, and the satellite magnetic anomaly charts at corresponding altitude were constructed.
