This paper begins with the problems in tradition al listening and speaking teaching methods, then analyzes the reasons, and states the theoretical bas is on which emotion can improve the cognitive learning abilities, especially the listening and speaking ability. Meanwhile, it puts forward the thought of the integrated wa y in teaching listening and speaking with multi-media. It also gives three effe c tive ways in teaching listening and speaking from the aspect of emotion and spea king.

如果不了解中西方文化差异,把汉语的思维方式、文化的理解和交际模式用于英语交际中去,很可能就无法收到完美的交际效果。教师在听力、口语教学和读写译教学中,应该介绍一些有关的英美文化、政治、经济及英语国家人民的生活习惯与风俗等,以加强培养学生对文化背景知识的了解,从比较文化的角度培养学生分析掌握中英两种语言的词法、句法、篇章结构方面的差异,提高学生的水平。
