It has endured 1.53s base horizontal vibration without any damage and can pass resonance zone safely for more than ten seconds. Its dynamic responses are much less than those of ordinary bracings, and therefore EDB is a rather ideal earthquake resistant structure.

石泉水电站在机坑开挖过程中,边坡崩塌两次,经喷锚处理后,按极限平衡法计算,边坡岩体处于稳定状态,但根据埋置的多点位移计观测的结果,分析得出边坡岩体存在衰减蠕变现象。为了分析边坡岩体可能失稳或变形过大而造成对厂房结构稳定的影响程度,笔者借助大型有限元软件ANSYS,用二维非线性有限元分析高边坡与主厂房之间发生间接接触后,在不同滑移面摩擦系数f和凝聚力C以及锚索锚固力T情况下,边坡岩体产生的滑动荷载对厂房上部结构稳定的影响。分析的结果表明,滑动荷载对厂房上游墙应力影响较为明显。
