This paper deals with laminar reactive boundary layer flows in which hydrocarbon fuel is blown from a porous cylinder into an on-coming air stream. The partial differential equations of conservation of mass, momentum, energy and chemical constitutents are given to describe the flow problem under consideration. A similarity solution is briefly outlined so that the governing boundary layer equations are transformed into one-dimensional form in space, and the resulting linear equations are solved numerically by Newton' s iteration method. The model is used first to predict the structure of counterflow methane-air diffusion flames. It is shown by comparing the predicted results with the current experimental data that the temperature , velocity and species mole fraction profiles can be predicted fairly accurately. The model has also been applied in the numerical study of the structure of counterflow octane-air diffusion flames. In the calculation of the combustion reaction 369 elementary steps and 51 chemical constituents are involved.

A thermal calculation method of incineration of organic waste liquid in fluidizedbed with gas as auxiliary fuel is presented in this paper. The relations between the feeding rate of auxiliary fuels and the LHV Of organic compounds in waste liquid, the LHV of auxiliary fuels, the incineration temperature, and the preheated combustion air temperature are discussed. This provides the theoretical foundation for the design and operation of fluidizedbed incineration.

In order to solve problems in fine firing of wooden fuels in fluidized bed boiler, the author designed and installed a test apparatus firing wood flour and coarse pulverized coal. Hot state test study on firing wood flour and coarse pulverized coal was done with adoption of fine particle medium as bed material, which lays a reliable technical foundation for design and operation of fluidized bed boiler firing wooden fuels.

为解决木质燃料在流化床锅炉中的良好燃烧问题,作者自行设计、安装了一台燃用木屑、粗煤粉两用旋涡流化床实验台,采用细颗粒煤体床料,在实验台上做了燃烧木屑和粗煤粉的热态试验研究。为设计和研究燃用木质燃料的流化床锅炉提供了可靠的技术依据。
