Their culture attitudes are different from each other in the visual angle of viewing history, the thinking of introspecting the May Forth New Culture Movement and the reconstruction of race culture.It is quite obvious that Lin Tongji′s cultural temperament is reserved and Chen Quan′s is severe as a whole.

The discourse Superstition was translated and widely disseminated from Japanese to Chinese in the late 19th century. To explore the origin of the anti-superstition discourse is one of the ways to deal with the History of Thought. In this process, we can clear up such problems as relative information, its existence condition, formation and disseminations. The developing track may provide a more profound perspective for people to understand the rise and the intrinsic tension of modern China.

“迷信”一词在19世纪末经日语转译进入到中国的本土语汇中,并很快风行,反对“迷信”、改造民众的信仰世界从而彻底变革其生存方式与思维方式的“反迷信”话语便是此期启蒙主义的核心命题之一。迷信与知识进步、与专制主义以及国民道德的关系是构成初期“反迷信”知识氛围的主体内容。然而“迷信”一词在其诞生之初并不具有统一的内涵,不同的概念和指向恰恰构成了现代中国人对其面临的政治、文化冲突的反省,以及态度同一性与内在差异之间隐而不彰的对立。对“反迷信”话语作起源的探索,是处理思想史的一种途径,而厘清此种思想所携带的信息、它所产生的条件、它的形成、传播乃至成为不假思索的思维习惯等等问题,这一轨迹或许可为理解现代中国的兴起及其内在张力提供一种更加深微的观看立场。
