IR thermal imaging system is used to measure the front and rear surface temperature distribution of the coated metal (30CrMnSiA steel and LF6M alloy) irradiated by repetitive frequency (RF) laser. The characteristics of temperature increasement with laser irradiation time are analyzed in this paper.
The calculations and experiment showed that digital optical images of coated metal surfaces, obtained with a common scanner, allow measuring the layer thickness at high accuracy (down to 1 nm or even less).
The electromagnetic parameters and absorption properties of SiO2-coated metal fibers were improved greatly due to optimal impendence matching and the electric conductivity decreased, compared to those of uncoated materials.
A PP film-coated metal substrate was employed as the working electrode in aerated NaCl aqueous solution and the cyclic voltammogram was measured repeatedly ten times upon application of a triangular potential between -1 and 1 V vs.
The corrosion potential for PP film-coated metal substrates also changed with the deposition time; this change is suggested to be related to the increase in the positive charge on the surfaces.
The experiment results show that the rear surface temperature of metal is mainly dependent on laser average power when target thickness is more than 1.6mm. The higher the laser pulse frequency is, the higher the...
The temperature rise and its rate of coated 45# steel were calculated. The temperature varing with target thickness and laser intensity was analyzed. The influence of surface condition on temperature was also studied. Laser spot influence on temperature rise was given under the same laser power and target thickness. The temperature rise rate varing with irradiation time and target thickness was analyzed according to temperature rise.
