This paper discussed the scientific concept of species and the biological nature of species as a natural group. It is high diversity of species that makes it impossible to produce general, applicable and theoretically significant species concepts for all the organisms existing or once existed on the earth. Species communities of composition diversity should have characters which correspond with different biological aspects of individual species, i.e. species diversity should acturally be the biological diversity of species. There are many different methods to measure the degree of species diversity, but the total number of species should be the most explicit and direct one. A lot of studies in the last decade tried to value how many species exist in the world. The origin of species diversity is through speciation, and its loss through species extinction. The model and mechanism of speciation and extinction and the possible causes were briefly discussed. The author strongly argues that there exists a close relationship between biogeographic analysis and species diversity researches. Pattern identification and component analysis on fauna and flora should be an important part of species diversity researches on a relatively large scale.

本文首先讨论生物物种的科学概念和生物学本质 ,分析物种客观存在的自然属性和物种概念的局限性 ,认为物种的生物学属性和物种多样性的科学属性之间有着本质联系。物种多样性研究的实质是研究生物物种的生物学多样性。度量物种多样性程度有多种方法 ,但物种数目是物种多样性程度最直接、也是最基本的表达 ,估计物种多样性数目是当前国际上物种多样性研究的核心与热点内容。物种多样性产生的根源是物种形成 ,物种绝灭速率是维持物种多样性的关键因素。本文简要总结了物种形成与绝灭的基本模式和机制 ,通过分析生物地理区系与物种多样性研究的密切关系 ,说明物种的区系成份分析是物种多样性大尺度格局研究的重要内容

Microorganisms are an important group of organism mainly performing catabolic metabolism, which display extreme abundance in biodiversity. However, due to their microscopic sizes, especially prokaryotes with simple unicellular structure, their asexual propagation, their rapid replication and the lack of base line inventory of their groups and quantity, the biodiversity of microorganisms has so far not been studied thoroughly and has been paid little attention compared with macro-organisms. In the present paper, the biodiversity of microorganisms is reviewed briefly, with consideration of the following aspects: species diversity, diversity of phylogenetic lines, physiological diversity and genetic diversity. The aim is to improve awareness of investigation of microorganism resources, not only in the scientific community but also in society as a whole.

Species diversity is biological diversity of species and its aggregation.The core of species diversity research is quantity change and biological diversity degree.This paper used Simpson index,McIntosh index and Margalef index to calculate the species diversity index in Yingsu,Abudale,Kaerdayi,Alagan,and Yiganbujima with data collected from the field.The species diversity and relationship between species diversity and ecosystem stability were analyzed in the degradating ecosystem of arid region.The results showed that the ecosystem is deteriorating,with Simpson index changed from 0.82 to 0.26,McIntosh index changed from 0.60 to 0.18,Margalef index changed from 1.47 to 0.38 and the mount of species changed from 9 to 2.The degenerative character,succession dynamics and stability of ecosystem were discussed according to these data at lower reaches of Tarim River.Two features were obvions in the process of degradation at the lower reaches of Tarim River: a)Vegetation community lost its ecosystem functions;b) Water factor had dominant effect in the degradation process.

物种多样性是指物种及其集合体的生物学多样性。物种多样性研究的核心是物种的数量变化和物种的生物学多样性程度。本文根据野外采集的数据 ,运用Simpson指数、McIn tosh指数以及Margalef指数 ,对塔里木河下游英苏、阿布达勒、喀尔达依、阿拉干、依干不及麻等地区的物种多样性指数分别进行了计算 ,并根据计算得到的生物多样性指数探讨了干旱区退化生态系统的物种多样性以及在干旱区物种多样性与生态系统稳定性之间的关系。结果表明 ,塔里木河下游从英苏至依干不及麻 ,Simpson多样性指数的变化范围为 0 82~ 0 2 6 ,McIn tosh均匀度指数的变化范围为 0 6 0~ 0 1 8,Margalef丰富度指数的变化范围为 1 4 7~ 0 38,物种数的变化范围是 9~ 2。分析表明塔里木河下游生态系统退化十分严重 ,并据此讨论了塔里木河下游生态系统退化的特征、演替动态及稳定性
