本研究利用“长石—石英—粘土”三组分瓷为基础,在保持传统长石质瓷优点的前提下,通过优选原料,优化配方,尤其是通过引入分别起不同作用的添加剂等方法,研制成功了汉白瓷,并就汉白瓷的成瓷机理进行了探讨。研究结果表明,汉白瓷工艺性能优良,并具有白度高、透光性好、热稳定性高、产品规整度好及外观质感细腻、釉面光润等特性,各项理化指标达到了高级日用细瓷的标准

Slip casting process was investigated and some properties of the porous ceramics were discussed. The isoelectric Zeta potential point of the SiC particles corresponded to the pH value of 5.2, and the pH values of the slurry were controlled between 8 and 12 to provide the perfect stability and fluidity. The increase in the firing temperature decreases the range of the pore size distribution, with the principal pore diameter keeps relatively constant. The neck-bridging structure exists among the SiC grains due to the viscous flow of the grain-boundary phase at high temperatures, which helps to improve the binding behaviour. The oxidation product of SiC reacts with the grain-boundary phase, and leads to the precipitation of needle-like mullite crystals, which gives rise to the abnormal increase in the strength of the porous ceramics.

The study on magnetic household ceramics will contribute much to the further utilization of related new material resources and energy conservation in ceramics firing. Various formulas (with siderite, feldspar, quartz, diopside, etc. mixed in proportion to each other) and firing conditions were systematically investigated with regard to magnetism, strength, and color or glossiness. In the experiments, different formulas with siderite and energy saving material (diopside) varying in content were tried. Finally, the sample with high magnetism fired at a relatively low temperature was obtained. The optimum process is: firing at around 1050±5°C for half an hour in oxidizing atmosphere, which guaranteed the transformation of Fe2+ to Fe3+. Through the X-ray analysis, large amounts of α-Fe2O3 and γ-Fe2O3 have been found in the porcelain bodies. According to the magnetism test, the magnetic susceptibility of all bodies is lower than 8×103, immediately next to high magnetic minerals. It is also concluded that the higher the amount of siderite, the higher the magnetism. In addition, the glaze was also investigated. The firing results of glazed ceramics show that the fitness between the body and the glaze is good, and the color, glossiness and strength are desirable, too.

以菱铁矿为主要原料与传统陶瓷原料(长石、石英、粘土和透辉石等)相结合进行磁性日用陶瓷的研制,同时进行了坯釉适应性的尝试。根据烧成样品的测试和分析结果表明,菱铁矿作为陶瓷原料是可行的,磁化后表现出较高的磁性强度,并且该坯体与研制的玻璃釉匹配良好。
