Greatine phosphokinase activities in serum increased with the rising of dietary sulfur levels. and showed drastic increase when dietary sulfur levels were above 0.47%. it was concluded that, as to the dietary selenium requirement of goats, dietary sulfur concentration should not surpass 0.47%.

The effect of sulphurnutrition on the quality component contents and the related enzyme activities in fresh leaves was analysed bypot culture and field treatments. The basic metabolism of tea plants was improved, and the photosyntheticrate, chlorophyll content, total nitrogen content and total phosphorus content were increased, and the uptakeof potassium by tea plants from the soli was inhabited by supplying sulphur to tea plants. At certain levels ofsulphur, the nitrate reductase activity, the free amino acid content, especially the theanine content and the as-paratic acid content in fresh leaves increased significantly,but the polyphenol oxidase activity and the polyphe-nol metabolism decreased significantly, resulting in the dropping of the polyphenol/amino value, which wasgood for the quality ofgreen tea.
