The results show that there is very significant difference in yield of youyan 9 among different nitrogen amounts, but there is no significant difference in yield and quality when the same nitrogen amount is applied at early and middle seedling stages, early and late seedling stages or middle and late seedling stages. There is significant negative correlation between glucosinolate, erucic acid, protein and applying nitrogen amount, the very (significant) negative correlation between oil content and applying nitrogen amount, and the parabola relationship between quality (characters) and applying nitrogen amount. 150 kg/ha of nitrogen is good for maintaining quality of Youyan 9 and 225 kg/ha of (nitrogen) is good for high yield of Youyan 9.
