Following the advancement of the schema theory in 1932 by F. Bartlett, fruitful researches were carried out by a number of scholars, such as D. Rumelhart (1980) and P. Carrell (1983), focusing, in particular, on the application of the theory to reading comprehension. How to apply the theory to lexical acquisition is discussed.

自F Bartlett193 2年提出图式理论 (schematheory)以来 ,不少学者 ,如D Rumelhart ( 1980 )P .Carrell( 1983 )等继续对这一理论 ,特别是这一理论与阅读理解的关系进行了研究 ,引起了学术界的广泛关注。但在如何将图式理论应用于外语词汇习得方面 ,研究仍极鲜见。探讨该理论与词汇习得的关系是本文的要旨。
