It is considered that the Paleozoic sandstone porosity of Tarim Basin is mainly controlled by sandstone thermal maturity related with geothermal field, burial time and subsidence type of the basin based on the concept.
Based on the geotectonic feature of Wan'an basin, this article intends to deal with the historical subsidence, heatflow, thermal maturity, hydrocarbon generation and evolution of source rocks, and concludes that they closely related to the tectonic subsidence in different tectonic unit.
The positive linear correllation between 22S/22(S+R)ratios of C_ 31-C_ 32αβ hopanes and pyrolysis temperatures indicates that they would be used as the thermal mature parameters.
The combination of thermal simulation and on line carbon isotope composition analytical technique is applied to investigate the characteristics of carbon isotope composition of benzene and toluene in natural gases and source rocks in this paper.
A study on the compositions of light hydrocarbons (C_1-C_8) from crude oil and condensate is helpful to a better understanding of the thermo-evolutional regularity.
The variation of carbon isotope composition of toluene is less than 1‰in adsorption experiment. The carbon isotope composition of benzene and toluene can be used as a new index of correlation of gases with their source rocks.
The bitument with high maturity (R°% 1.9-4.57) is probably the evolutionary product of the oil and gases which reached the stage of late methane generation. The maturity of bitumen indicates that the experienced temperature ranges from 150℃ to 240℃.
The influence of an increase in the thermal maturity on the content of these compounds in the oils formed from organic matter deposited under different oxidation-reduction conditions was considered.
The main petroleum generation period for Yanchang Group in Triassic system is the early Cretaceous epoch too, and the highest thermal maturity of the coal of Permo-Carboniferous, Triassic, and Jurassic reaches is the early Cretaceous epoch also.
Under the similar thermal maturity, the hydrogen isotope composition of methane is more enriched in deuterium in marine environments than lacustrine one.
With the increase of thermal maturity and the increase of carbon atomic numbers of gaseous alkanes, the hydrogen isotopes become enriched in deuterium.
Hydrocarbon source rocks are characterized by the hydrocarbon discharge, and the alteration and variation in organic compositions and organic content due to the enhanced thermal maturation.
Based on the Arrhenius equation and Karweil method, a simulation calculation has been made on the thermal maturation of organic matter under a series of assuming paleotemperature gradients.
These results support a model of progressive heating accompanied by fluid loss during later stages of thermal maturation of source rock and the onset of primary migration.
In this area the color of conodont can be divided into yellow brown, black to gray, paque white and crystal clear etc.Field and laboratory experiments show that color alteration of conodonts is time and temperature dependent and corre- lates with type of oil and gas, fixed carbon and other organic metamorphism in- dexes. The color alteration of conodonts is a valuable tool for assessing organic metamorphism. It does not provide thermal thresholds for oil generation, but does provide thermal cutoffs for oil,conde...
A study on the compositions of light hydrocarbons (C_1-C_8) from crude oil and condensate is helpful to a better understanding of the thermo-evolutional regularity.Paraffin Wax Index and Heptane Value can be used first to make a relatively accurate determination on their maturity and then proceed to the genesis classification.Monomers of the light hydrocarbons from crude oil and condensate relate not only to their degree of thermal evolution, but to the source materials as well, thus providing useful informat...
The geochemical characteristics of extracts from the crude oils and reservoir bed taken from a well drilled in Pearl River Mouth Basin (PRMB) were investigated in detail. The trap on which the well was drilled was cut by a sub-EW direction normal fault. And study of the seismic section passed the well revealed that the fault has ever had three main developments.
