By leaching experiments of soil columns in laboratory,the effects of soil sodicity,desulfurized gypsum application,and effluent filtration disposal on hydraulic conductivity in silt loam soil under irrigation of domestic effluent water were studied.

In this study, the scrap aluminum alloy used in the sash is employed as the main material to research the effects of filtration treatment on the foundry properties including the fluidity and the crackle tendency.
Flocculant settlement,pressurized air flotation and pressure filtration are used to treat metallurgical wastewater,which shows that SS,OIL and pH is changed into 34mg/L,3.2mg/L and 6.51 respectively from 500～550mg/L,6.22mg/L and 6～9 after the treatment.
The r esults show that it can be acceptable when suspended solids in water <500mg /L,water temperature at 15℃,air dissolving pressure =0.30Mpa,practical a ir dissolving efficiency >70%,optimed GT value of reactions between 13000～18000,and additive imposement between 0.1～0.3mg /L.
The results show that the effluent quality met the requirement of circulating cooling water under circumstances of inflow turbidity < 1 000 mg/L, reaction time 6-8 min, air dissolving pressure between 0.25 - 0. 25 MPa, recycling rate 6% - 16% and with loading rate 7-8 m3/m2h.
Investigations has been made to examine the posibility of producing potable water by direct filtration in a double layer (anthracite and sand) filter.Contact flocoulation tests have been carried out with optimum alum doses ranging from 14-30mg/l, and polyelectrolyte from 0.01-0.05 mg/1. Experimental results indicate that for raw water of a turbidity less than 200°, qualified effluents can be obtained.
Inoculation and covering practice with straw ash are usually needed in producing high strength grey cast iron. This paper proposes inoculation-covering agents conposed of inoculating elements,fluxing agents and covering materials-The treatment is applying inoculation-covering agents to the flowing molten iron in tapping spout.
The effect of modification and filtration on the impact toughness of high Cr white cast iron was studied. Result shows the impact toughness and wear resistance are improved, and modification is more effective than filtration in the experiments.
