MS + BA0.5 mg.L-1 + NAA. 1 mg.L-1 medium was used in continuous culture, buds with in the medium multiplied 10 times or so per 4 - 6 weeks. It rooted in 6 days after buds were transffered on growth-regulators-free MS medium. Survival rate of plantlets which have been trans-planted in the humus soil and vermiculite could reach 90%.

The results showed that the silvery green mottling and without mottling were one couple of contrast characters...

The reciprocal crosses had been conducted among the adopting Begonia rex and wild Begonia from Yunnan or horticultural breeds of Begonia rex . The characters and properties of the F 1 generation on the leaf mottling, cauline type and cold resistant capacity were observed. The segregation of green mottling character was studied by observation and statistic analysis of the F 2 populations. The results showed that the silvery green mottling and without mottling were one couple of contrast characters of Begonia rex , the silvery green mottling was dominant, the genetics of this couple of characters was correspond to Mendel's law. In the F 1 plants of B.rex × B.longialata , the continuous expression of the silvery green mottling was influenced by the intensity of illumination. To keep the primary color of silvery green mottling, it was need to add 2000 lx illumination after two years of growth. Rhizome was the most steady genetic character, its genetic retention rate was 90%. High heterosis was showed in F 1 generation on the cold resistance, F 1 population possessed a higher cold resistance capacity than their parents. This paper provided a reference for the selection and breeding of green mottling character and cold resistance.

采用毛叶秋海棠与云南野生秋海棠 ,以及国外毛叶秋海棠的园艺品种进行正反交试验 ,观测各杂交F1代群体叶片斑纹、茎的类型、植株抗寒能力等主要性状的表现及其遗传特性 ;通过F1代自交 ,对F2 代群体叶片斑纹的观测统计 ,研究银绿斑性状的分离规律。试验结果表明 :毛叶秋海棠银绿斑与无斑是一对相对性状 ,银绿斑对无斑是显性 ,无斑对银绿斑是隐性 ,其遗传杂交符合孟德尔的分离规律 ;B .rex×B .longialataF1代植株银绿斑性状的持续表现受光照强度的影响较大 ,生长 2年后需要增加约 2 0 0 0lx的光照才能保持原有的银绿斑色彩 ;毛叶秋海棠根状茎性状的遗传特性极为稳定 ,遗传保持率 90 % ;杂交F1代在抗寒性方面表现了明显的杂种优势

对云南产的16种秋海棠属(BegoniaL.)植物进行了挥发物抗微生物活性实验,其中14种秋海棠为首次报道。结果表明,在所研究的16种秋海棠中,有8种秋海棠具有抗葡萄球菌(Staphyllococcusepidermidis)活性。而抗大肠杆菌(Escherichiacoli)活性最强的是厚壁秋海棠(BegoniasilletensisC.B.Clarke),假厚叶秋海棠(B.pseudodryadisC.Y.Wu)和秋海棠(B.grandisDryand.)。只有铁甲秋海棠(B.masonianaIrmsch.)和毛叶秋海棠(B.rexPutz.)对白假丝酵母菌(Candidaalbicans)有抗性。作为室内盆栽花卉被广泛应用的秋海棠,不仅可以美化室内环境,而且还可以作为药用和净化室内环境的生态产品进行推广应用。
