This article derives the angular position equation of the driven links of the geared four-bar linkages and the common formula calculating the transmission ratio. Outlined in this article are the methods of designing of the geared- bar mechanism with brief dwell for sliding driven members, including the determination of the length of the coupler, the calculation of the stroke of the slider and the fixed-carrier train ratio for the planetary gear trains. The author is also discussing the maximum offset of the driven slider to the dwelling point.

This paper is devoted to the analysis and synthesis of gear-link mechanisms with short-peiod-stop intermittent motion which are widely used in practice at present. In this paper the choice of the type of mechanism has been made and effective design methods have been developed, based upon kinematic analysis starting from the general case of this kind of mechanisms. A set of design parameters for the mechanisms is presented and a criterion of choice of the design parameters under optimum consideration is recommended....

A set of design parameters for the mechanisms is presented and a criterion of choice of the design parameters under optimum consideration is recommended. For design convenience there are graphs available, also presented by the writer after rigorous deductions. It should be pointedout that it is very complicated to analysis and design this kind of mechanism in nature but by means of these graphs it becomes quick and simple to design, therefore these methods are easy to be used in design and extended in practice. The design methods are demonstrated by some examples.

本文讨论了目前广泛用于实现短暂停歇运动的齿轮连杆机构的分析和综合。从这类机构的普遍情况出发,对它进行了运动分析。在这基础上提出了机构的选型和设计方法,拟订了机构设计参数,推荐了按最优条件选取参数的准则。为了便于设计,根据作者的推导,绘制了设计用线图。这类机构的分析和设计本来很复杂,但借助于这些线图可使设计简化,便于使用和推广。文中还附有设计举例。
