The operational mechanism of a simple transimpedance CMOS amplifier is analyzed.The dependence of the sensitivity,bandwidth and dynamic range of the cell on its structure is simulated.The MOSIS scalable CMOS rule of 0.35/ 0.5 μm is used in layout design.For 0.8 μm linewidth,an operating frequency above 600 Mb/s and a minimum detected photo current of about 4.8 μA have been achieved.In addition,the photo current noise immunity can be adjusted...

Due to the effect of temperature variation on the carrier mobility, the threshold voltage and other parameters about process and device, the temperature stability of CMOS amplifiers is often relatively poor. In this article, a temperature compensation technique for CMOS amplifiers using constant-gm reference current biasing circuit is presented.
