Analysis shows that separation of cargo and passenger transport can reduce the number of days per round trip. It helps to raise the capacity of passenger transport, and is of great importance for obtaining more economic results of passenger transport. It is expected that fuel consumption ratio (ton/thousand people kilometer) of the passenger ships recommended in this paper for several lines will be over 15% lower than that of the existing vessels.  提高长江客运能力的合理途径是:实行客货分运,发展客船;发展功率适中、航速适中的节能经济船型。论证表明:实行客货分运可缩短班期,缩短旅客在途时间,提高客运能力,对提高客运的经济效益也有重大意义。本文拟议中的若干航线的客船,其单位燃料消耗量(吨/千人公里)均可望降低15％以上。  An economy analysis of a ship form with its block coefficient equal to 0.9 is presented. The design ideas of the economy analysis program for a ship with high block coefficient and some mathematical models such as that for estimating the light weight of a ship and the shipbuilding cost, for the type depth as well as for predicting the ship speed are given. With the main dimensions and main engine power of the ship unchanged, economy comparisons between a ship with high block coefficient and a 20 000 dwt bulk...
