Two kinds of computable attenuators for different wavelengths are tested, by which two calibrating arrangements are established, one is for the calorimeters at wavelengths of 1,064, 0.532 and 0.266 μm of YAG laser for single pulse, the other is for repeated optical pulse by modulated light beam. The measuring range is 10-3 to 10-7J. The total uncertainty is about 1%, and the error limit is less than ±3%.

Abstract Based on the classical theories, a novel continuously adjustable laser attenuator has been developed. It can continuously change the power or energy of the laser beam without any effects on the other properties of the laser, thus, meets the requirements for measurements of the space domain parameters of laser.

目的研究在不同入射边及入射点位置条件下,将直角棱镜用作无畸变激光衰减器所需满足的条件。方法采用以几何光学反射定律和折射定律为基础的光路追迹计算方法。结果得到了各种入射条件下,出射光束与入射光束之间的距离及允许入射光束孔径公式,可用其作为设计激光衰减器的依据。结论根据待衰减激光束口径及直角棱镜孔径,适当选择入射条件,可以实现无畸变衰减并避免产生干涉现象。
