Objective To investigate the effect of cavernous nerve injury on nNOS containing nerve fibers in corpus cavernosum. Methods The quantity of nNOS positive nerve fibers in rat erectile tissue were examined with immunohistochemistry techniques (SP method )after cavernous nerve injury. Results After bilateral ablation,the nNOS positive nerve fibers were significantly decreased at 3 weeks (17±4) and remained so at 6 months (16±4).For unilateral injury group,the nNOS positive nerve fibers were similarly decreased on the side of neurotomy at 3 weeks (18±6),but by 6 months,the number increased significantly (61±9) and approximated the level on the contralateral side (81±13). Conclusions It was demonstrated the regeneration of nNOS containing nerve fibers may occur 6 months after unilateral cavernous nerve ablation,while this process didn't happen after bilateral cavernous nerve injury.It suggests that cavernous nerve has to be preserved at least one side during pelvic radical surgery.

目的 探讨海绵体神经损伤对阴茎海绵体nNOS神经纤维的影响。 方法 采用免疫组织化学技术SP法测定大鼠海绵体神经损伤后阴茎勃起组织nNOS神经纤维数量。 结果 双侧损伤组术后 3周 ,阴茎海绵体nNOS神经纤维显著减少 ,6个月后仍很少 ;单侧损伤组 ,术后 3周损伤侧nNOS神经纤维的改变类似于双侧损伤组 ,但 6个月后损伤侧nNOS神经纤维明显增多 ,接近于对侧水平。 结论 阴茎海绵体nNOS神经纤维在单侧海绵体神经损伤后可能会再生 ,而双侧海绵体神经损伤后则不能再生 ,提示在进行盆腔根治性手术时 ,要保留一侧海绵体神经 ,以维持勃起功能
