Experimental results of forced convection heat transfer to supercritical pressure water in vertical tubes are compared with those calculated by Hall-Jackson and Pet-oohov-Protopopov's equations. It is seen that Hall-Jackson's equation gives poor a-greement while Petoohov-Protopopov's equation, though with better agreement, is however too complicated for practical application; A simpler expression is therefore proposed which has nearly the same accuracy as that of Petoohov-Protopopov's equation.
