The analytical and testing results of 12KW and 18KW harmonic-exciting generators verified. that there are some special characteristics in its design. A better intrinsic voltage regulation could be obtained, if the designing parameters and their coordination are reasonably selected. It is recommended that in case of the maximum flux density of the pole-shoe not exceeding 19500, the series turns of armature winding per phase should not be too much, the air-gap ratio be within 1.1~1.3, the pole-arc faefor within 0.70~073 and the pole-shoe height resonable.
