The pendulous integrating gyro accelerometer(PIGA) is an inertial device measuring apparent acceleration of space vehicle. The stability of its scale factor influences range precision directly. The scale factor relates to many elements and variation of pendulosity is a major factor of them. This paper analyses the gravity effect of pendulosity, that is the variation phenomenon of PIGA pendulosity in the gravity field. The influence of the variation on the scale factor is difficult to be found out, because it can not be measured by the usual method of multiple position error separation, and this variation may potentially affect precisions of instruments and range, so engineers must pay great attention to it. The paper analyses the rule and cause of gravity effect, and points out that a high precision gyroscope should have a relative reasonable structure, otherwise its precision will be affected.

The special resistive impedance divider and its measuring system are designed to measure the transient enclosure voltage generated in GIS. The transfer characteristic of such system is analyzed. Its scale factor and step response are measured. The results show that this system can be used to measure TEV both in laboratory and on site. The performance meets the requirements specified by IEC61321.
