This paper deals both with fundamental mechanism and joint performance of undermatching weldaments. Static tensile strength of undermatching welded joint are influenced by relative thickness of the welded metal. As the relative thickness decreases, the joint tensile strength increases from that of the weld metal to the base metal strength. The joint strength is also varied with the plate width of the undermatching welded joint, it is increased with the width until the later becomes larger than about five times...

As the relative thickness decreases, the joint tensile strength increases from that of the weld metal to the base metal strength. The joint strength is also varied with the plate width of the undermatching welded joint, it is increased with the width until the later becomes larger than about five times as the plate thickness. Ultimate tensile stnength of the undermatehing welded joint can be well estimated by formla including variables such as the relafive thickness and the strength ratio of weld metal vs. base metal. As compared with overmatching electrodes, the undermatching ones effectively lower the preheating temperature required for preventing root crack caused by the first-pass welding on heavy plates of low alloy high strength structural steels. The weld metal cracking is not sensitive to joint restraint severity, and furthermore, the perheating temperature required for preventing weld metal cracking can be lowered more than 70℃ by using undermatching electrode.

本文对低组配焊接接头的机理和接头性能等两个方面进行了分析研究。低组配焊接接头静拉伸的力学性能,受焊缝金属的相对厚度所影响,随着相对厚度的减小,接头的拉伸强度由焊缝金属的拉伸强度增至基本金属的拉伸强度。接头强度还随低组配焊接接头的板宽改变而变化,板宽增大、接头拉伸强度增加,直至板宽大于五倍板厚时为止。故低组配焊接接头拉伸强度能以含有相对厚度和焊缝金属对基本金属的强度比的公式所计算。在厚板低合金高强钢的焊接中,与采用高组配焊条相比,用低组配焊条能有效的降低为防止由第一道焊道所引起的焊根裂纹所需要的予热温度。并且,该种接头在多道连续焊时引起的焊缝裂纹,对于接头的大拘束度并不敏感。为防止焊缝金属裂纹所需要的予热温度用低组配焊条比用高组配焊条大约降低七十余度。

The experimental study has been carried out for the effect of procedure variables (I_m, I_f, f_m, M_k, Q_(ar)) on bead forming on both sides of LF6 aluminium alloy weld with AC pulse TIG welding process. The results show that the pulse current arc possesses many advantages such as cleaning effect of pool surface, the ability to get rid of porosity and good enough mechanical properties as compared with conventional TIG process. It has already been used in production.

在LF6铝合金交流脉冲TIG焊过程中,焊接工艺参数(I_m、I_j、f_m、M_k、Q_(Ar))对焊缝正、背面成形的影响进行了试验。结果证明,脉冲焊的去氧化膜、抗气孔能力及接头机械性能均优于连续焊。该工艺已用于生产。

采用十字接头裂纹试验法,对12mm厚16Mn钢板,在环境温度-28℃时,进行了对接的焊接性试验,并对不同预热温度、正常施焊和连续焊等工艺,对焊接接头性能的影响进行了探讨。结果证明,12mm厚16Mn钢板,在-28℃以上的环境温度下焊接,完全能达到设计要求。
